Weather Gets Here First
There is nothing between Shoreacres and the open water. No buffer, no rise, nothing to slow anything down. What the bay does, this town finds out about immediately.
That shapes the work. Yards fill with whatever the wind carried in. Water pushes up into low garages and sheds and sits there. Fence runs on the bay side go over in one piece and take the neighbor's with them. And then afterward there is the slow, awful part, which is figuring out what in the garage is still worth anything and what has been quietly ruined.
The housing here is older than what you find in the newer subdivisions inland, which cuts both ways. These homes have taken weather before and they are still standing. They also have real sheds, real detached garages, and decades of things stored at floor level in both.
The Part Nobody Wants to Start
Cleanup after water is heavy, wet, and demoralizing, and it does not get better by sitting. Every day a soaked box waits it gets heavier and it smells worse. That is the entire reason to hand this piece of it to somebody else.

Straight Answers Before You Call
Do you actually drive out to a town as small as Shoreacres?
Yes, and there is no small-town surcharge or minimum-size nonsense attached to it. Our trailers yard in Pearland and we run this whole stretch of the bay regularly, so a Shoreacres address is a normal stop rather than a special trip. Plenty of the calls we get down here start with a neighbor watching us load and asking for the number.
Can you haul wet carpet, drywall, and insulation after water gets in?
Once it is torn out and stacked, yes, and that is usually the fastest phone call you can make because wet material only gets heavier and worse smelling. To be clear about the split: we do not do the tear-out ourselves, we are insured to haul rather than to take a building apart. Your contractor pulls it, we clear every bit of it, and we can come back for a second load once the walls are opened up.
Our fence went down along the bay side. Will you take it?
Bring it out of the ground and stack it where a trailer can reach, and we will clear the whole run. Pickets, rails, panels, posts, and rolled wire all go. We are not the crew that pulls posts or resets a fence line, so that part is on you or your fence contractor, but the pile afterward is ours.
Can you empty a shed or a garage that took on water?
That is a job we do a lot here. Everything on the floor of a bayfront shed is ruined the moment water sits in it, and it is miserable to handle alone. We carry out the soaked boxes, the swollen particle board, the ruined tools and yard gear, the mower that will never start again. The building itself stays where it is. We empty structures, we do not take them down.
What can't you take?
A short list, and it matters more after a flood than at any other time. No wet paint, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, chemicals, or medical waste. No treated marine debris soaked in chemicals. Those all need a hazardous disposal route we are not set up for.
