Hi, these are the terms for renting a dumpster from H&L Junk Removal and Hauling Solutions, LLC ("H&L," "we," "us," or "our"). We have kept them short and in plain English, because you should be able to read them in a couple of minutes and know exactly what you are getting. When you book a rental with us, by phone, text, or online, you agree to these terms.
These terms cover our dumpster rentals. Our full-service junk removal is quoted per job, so the price and scope for that work is whatever we agree on in your quote.
Pricing and Rental Periods
We rent one size: a 14-yard roll-off. We offer two rental periods:
- 3 days for $399
- 7 days for $475
Both prices include delivery, the rental period, and haul-off. There is no separate delivery fee, no fuel surcharge, and no weight or tonnage fee.
Not sure how long you need? Take the 7-day. It costs less than adding a single extra day to the 3-day rental, so if there is any chance your job runs long, the 7-day is the cheaper choice up front.
Extra Days
If you keep the dumpster past the rental period you booked, extra days are $100 per day. That applies from day 4 on a 3-day rental, and from day 8 on a 7-day rental.
We charge this because we run a small local fleet, and a can sitting on a finished job is a can another neighbor cannot rent. If your job runs long, call or text us before your pickup date and we will work with you.
How We Count the Days
Day 1 is the day we deliver. Your pickup day does not count as a rental day. So a 3-day rental delivered on a Monday is picked up Thursday, and a 7-day rental delivered on a Monday is picked up the following Monday.
We schedule pickup for the day after your rental period ends. If we are running behind and pick up late for a reason that is on us, that is on us, and you are not charged for it.
How Much You Can Put In It
Fill it right up to the top. The only rule is that everything stays level with the top rail, with nothing heaped over the sides. We cannot legally or safely haul a can that is mounded over the top, and if it is overfilled we will have to ask you to take material off before we can move it.
There is no weight limit and no tonnage fee. You are not going to get a surprise bill for a heavy load.
One heads up on heavy material. If you are loading concrete, brick, dirt, rock, or roofing shingles, call or text us before you start. Dense material gets to a safe towing weight long before it reaches the top rail, and we will tell you where to stop filling. This is a safety limit, not a pricing trick.
What Cannot Go In the Dumpster
Texas landfills will not accept certain items, and some of them are banned by state rule. Please keep all of the following out of the can:
- Hazardous and chemical waste: wet paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, asbestos, cleaning chemicals
- Automotive: motor oil, oil filters, fuel, antifreeze, other automotive fluids
- Tires and batteries: whole tires, lead-acid batteries
- Appliances with Freon: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers
- Electronics: TVs, computer monitors
- Other: propane tanks, medical waste, ammunition, any sealed pressurized container
If any of this ends up in the can, we may not be able to haul it until it is removed, and you would be responsible for any disposal charge the landfill passes on to us for it.
Not sure about something? Just ask before you toss it in. Some of these items we can take away separately through our junk removal service, so ask us about that too.
Where We Put It
We place every dumpster with care and use boards under it to protect your driveway. We are fully insured.
You are responsible for telling us where you want it and for making sure that spot is clear when we arrive. Please keep in mind:
- We need clear overhead space, so watch for low branches and power lines.
- Soft ground, fresh sod, sprinkler heads, and septic lines can be damaged by the weight of a loaded can. If you point us at a spot, we will put it there, but we cannot be responsible for damage to surfaces or buried lines you asked us to place it on.
- Please keep vehicles clear of the spot on delivery day and on pickup day. If we cannot get to the can, we will call you and work it out.
Driveway placement does not need a city permit. Check your HOA or deed restrictions, but the city is not involved. If you need the dumpster in the street or the right-of-way, that is a city matter and pulling any required permit is the customer's responsibility. Rules differ by city, and our service area covers a lot of them, so call your own city hall to confirm before your drop-off day. We are glad to tell you what we know if you call us at 832-425-7749.
Booking and Confirmation
When you book online or by phone, you are asking us for a specific delivery date. Your rental is not locked in until we confirm it with you by call or text. We run a small local fleet, so if the day you picked is already taken we will tell you straight and offer you the closest day that works.
Once we confirm your date, that is your booking, and the cancellation terms below start to apply.
Payment
We do not take a deposit and we do not ask for a card to book. You pay nothing up front. We invoice you after the job, and payment is due when you get the invoice.
If you keep the can past your rental period, those extra days get added to your invoice at the $100 per day rate above.
Changes and Cancellations
Plans change, and we get that. Once we have confirmed your delivery date, you can cancel or move it free of charge any time up to 24 hours before that delivery. Just call or text us at 832-425-7749.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your confirmed delivery, there is a $50 cancellation fee. That is not us being difficult. Inside of a day we have already built the route around you and turned down other work for that slot, and it is too late for us to fill it.
Moving your date is always free as long as you give us more than 24 hours. And if something genuinely goes sideways, call us. We are people, not a call center.
Text Messages
If you give us your phone number when you book or request a quote, we may text you about your job. These are service messages: confirming your booking, letting you know we are on the way, and letting you know when we have picked the can up.
- Message frequency varies, and depends on your job. Most customers get a handful of texts per rental.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or just call us at 832-425-7749.
- Opting out of texts will not affect your rental. We will just call you instead.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your phone number. See our Privacy Policy · Terms for how we handle your information.
Insurance and Liability
H&L is fully insured. We take care of your property like it is our own, and if we damage something, tell us and we will make it right.
Once the dumpster is on your property, it is in your care. You are responsible for what goes into it and for anyone you let use it. We are not responsible for anything you throw away by mistake, so please check the can before you call for pickup. Our responsibility on any rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.
Service Area
We deliver across League City, Clear Lake, Dickinson, Friendswood, Webster, Texas City, and the surrounding Galveston and Harris County areas. Delivery is free across League City and the Bay Area. If you are outside our normal area, call us and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your rental are the ones posted on this page on the day you booked. The date at the top of this page tells you when we last updated it.
