Fishing is not a hobby people around here do occasionally, it is part of the furniture, and it leaves a residue. Every waterfront shed and carport we open has a version of the same collection in it. Cracked coolers. Rods with no guides left. Crab traps flattened by something heavier. Coils of rope stiff with salt. Buckets, chairs, a busted cast net, an outboard cowling with no outboard attached.
All of that loads fine and we take it. Pulled dock boards and old pier lumber too, once they are up and out of the water and stacked where a trailer can pull alongside.
Boats and boat trailers are a separate conversation, and worth an honest one. Size matters and so does the title. Call us first with what you have got and we will tell you plainly whether it is something we can take or something you need a different outfit for.
Nothing Leaves This Property Uncovered
Wind comes off the bay with nothing much in its way, and a loose load turns into somebody else's yard problem within a block. So the tarp goes on and gets tied down before we move, every single time, whether the trailer is stacked high or half full.
The same thinking covers the rest of how we work. We sweep behind ourselves. We walk the area once more before pulling out to catch what shook loose during loading. We do not leave a scattering of foam and paper across your grass as a parting gift.
Access here varies a lot, from a wide-open lot to a narrow shell drive with a boat already parked in it. Mention what we are dealing with when you call and we will sort the approach out ahead of time rather than in front of your house.
When the Whole Place Has to Be Cleared
Housing down here runs the whole range, from small older homes that have been in one family for decades to places right on the water, and a fair number of them have quietly accumulated for years. Then a sale, an inheritance, a tenant change, or an insurance requirement puts a date on the calendar.
Those jobs get worked in passes. Outside first, usually, because clearing the yard and the driveway makes everything after it easier and gives you something visible to show for day one. Then the sheds and the carport, then room by room inside.
