Most junk jobs are a fight over space. A short driveway, a car that cannot move, an alley behind a fence, a crew shuttling armloads out to the street. Santa Fe hands us the opposite problem, and it is a much better problem to have.
Here we can generally put the trailer within a few steps of whatever we are loading. Beside the pen. At the pole barn door. Out in the pasture next to the pile. Nothing gets carried twice, which is the single biggest thing that decides how long a job takes and what it costs you.
The tradeoff is that a big property does not produce one neat heap. It produces a scattered set of them, built up in different corners across different years, and none of them where you would choose to put them. So we work in passes instead of one sweep, and we do not leave until the last corner is done.
Clearing a Lot That Grew Into Itself
Land collects things. Not on purpose. A trailer gets parked behind the treeline for one season and stays four years. Somebody sets a stack of pallets by the gate meaning to burn it. A washer comes out of the utility room and lands beside the shed because the shed is closer than the dump.

Every place out here has one building nobody opens anymore. The door drags, wasps own the eaves, and the last person to go in was pretty sure there was a mower in there. We open it, we empty it, and we take everything that comes out.
Feed sacks. Cracked troughs and buckets. Coiled hose gone brittle. Loose lumber. A dozen paint cans. Shelving that rusted through. Two bicycles. The chest freezer that quit and never left. Pens and lean-tos empty out the same way, straight onto the trailer.

Once the Fence Line Is Down, It Is Ours
Replacing a run of fence on acreage produces an astonishing amount of material, and it always looks worse laid out on the ground than it did standing up. Cedar posts. Rolled wire. Welded panels. Rails gone soft at the ends. Bent gate frames. T-posts by the dozen.
Stack it somewhere a trailer can pull alongside and we will clear the whole run in one go. Same for brush. Limbs, cut trunks, pulled shrubs, and the fence line that swallowed itself in vine all load fine, and plenty of folks would rather not burn a pile that size on a breezy afternoon anyway.
Consolidating helps more than people expect. Five scattered piles across a property take noticeably longer to work than one does, and a shorter job is a cheaper job. No, and we would rather say so plainly than take your deposit and figure it out later. We are insured to haul, not to bring a structure down. What we will do is empty it completely, and if you have someone else knock it flat we will come behind them and clear every board and shingle off the property.
The hog wire and the cattle panels are already down. Will you load that?
Yes. Rolled wire, welded panels, cedar posts, T-posts, rotted rails, gate frames, all of it goes. The only ask is that it is already out of the ground and reachable. Pulling a live fence line is a different trade and a different insurance policy, so that part belongs to you or your fence guy.
How close to the work can you actually get on acreage?
Usually right up next to it, which is the nicest thing about working out here. Ground condition decides it more than distance does. Soft after a wet week, a culvert that pinches at the road, low limbs over the drive, those are the things worth mentioning ahead of time. If it looks like we would cut ruts across your place, we stage up front and shuttle instead.
