14 & 20-Yard Roll-Off Dumpster Rental in Pasadena, TX Fill It at Your Pace,
We Haul It Off.
Pasadena is a big town, and about half of its homes went up between the 1950s and the 1970s. Houses that age keep running into the same jobs: a fence run that gave out, a bathroom down to the studs, a garage nobody has emptied in years. Our 14-yard roll-off sits on an ordinary driveway, and the 20-yard has the same 14-foot footprint with taller sides, from $499.99.

We do not own a scale.
Most roll-off companies around Houston quote a low number that quietly carries a weight allowance, usually about 3 tons, then bill $75 to $95 for every ton you go over it. Our landfill charges us by the yard instead of by the ton, so we have nothing to pass along to you. Fill it to the rail and the price does not move. A Pasadena fence tear-out and a gutted bathroom do not weigh the same, and neither one moves the price by a dollar.
We call it the No-Scale Rate. The roll-off companies that charge by weight do it because their landfill bills them by the ton. Ours bills us by the yard, so a full dumpster costs us the same whether it is couch cushions or roof shingles.

The City Drop-Off Is Free. Here Is Where It Runs Out.
Before you rent anything, know what Pasadena already gives you. As of October 2026, the City of Pasadena's garbage service page says residents can bring one load of household refuse a month, up to 2 cubic yards (about a half-ton pickup load), to the city's landfill drop-off at 550 Old Genoa-Red Bluff Road. The site has a Houston mailing address, ZIP 77034, but it is the city's own.
The catches are real. You need a valid Texas driver's license and a current, original Pasadena water bill with an address that matches it, because the city does not take copies. The load has to stay below the top of a pickup frame and be tarped, and a hard hat and safety vest are required on site. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Go past 2 cubic yards and the city's minimum charge starts at $140.00 and varies from there.
City Drop-Off
Free for one 2-yard load a month. Your own vehicle, your own trips, weekday hours, and your license plus an original water bill every time.
H&L Roll-Off
14 or 20 cubic yards parked in your driveway, loaded when you have time, hauled off when you say. From $379.99.
Compare the volumes. A 14-yard can holds seven of those monthly allowances, and the 20-yard holds ten. A fence run, a gutted bathroom, or a garage clear is several pickup loads, so several weekday mornings and several tarps.
Got one pickup load of bagged junk and an original water bill in your hand? Take it to the city and keep your money. We say the same on the phone. A can earns its price when the pile is bigger than one trip, when it is too bulky to stay below the pickup frame, when you cannot leave work before 3:30, or when a contractor is doing the work, since the city page says commercial refuse is not covered by the free rule. Rules change, so check the page or call city Sanitation at 713-475-7884 before you drive over.
Where the Can Sits in Pasadena
Nearly every roll-off we deliver ends up on a driveway, and Pasadena is no different. The can is 14 feet long and about 7 feet wide and slides off the trailer, so the spot needs flat, hard ground, a straight approach, and nothing overhead. Pace it off before you book, starting at the garage door or carport pad and heading toward the curb, with a few feet to spare.
Tell us about anything that narrows the spot: a drive that slopes toward the street, a meter box near the edge, a low limb, cracked concrete. Photos from the curb help, and we would rather change the spot before the can is down than after.
What about the street? Honestly, Pasadena's public trash pages do not say. We went through the city's garbage service and heavy trash pages in October 2026, and neither mentions where a roll-off may sit: curb, street, or right-of-way. Until the city says otherwise, the driveway is the plan. If yours cannot take a 14-foot can, phone City Hall at 713-477-1511 before booking and pass along the answer, and we will plan the drop around it.

Mid-Century Houses, Fence Lines, and Turnovers
By the Census Bureau's 2024 estimates, Pasadena's median home was built in 1976, and about half the houses in town date from the 1950s through the 1970s. The city grew fast in that stretch, from about 22,000 people in 1950 to nearly 90,000 by 1970, according to the Texas State Historical Association. Houses that old have usually been through a roof or two and a few fences, and that is what ends up in our cans.
Fences. A rotted run of pickets, posts, and an old gate makes a bigger pile than it looks like on the lawn. Pasadena's fence ordinance exempts a replacement that keeps the same material and the same location from needing a permit, but changing either one does need a permit, and a fence cannot go within 5 feet of an open ditch, swale, or bayou. Read it before the old fence comes down.
Interiors. Carpet and pad come up in long rolls, then tile, subfloor, a vanity, a tub surround. Cabinets from a kitchen refresh are bulky even when they are light. These jobs run for days, and a can in the driveway lets you toss as you go.
Rental turnovers. About 46% of Pasadena households rent, so landlords and property managers watch doors flip all year. Mattresses, bagged clothes, broken blinds, and tired carpet make a quick can. If you would rather not carry any of it, our Pasadena junk removal crew loads it for you.
Sheds and storms. A backyard shed that has leaned for ten years comes down in panels, and whatever was inside comes with it. Storm season adds limbs, fence panels, and wet drywall.
The short list of items that cannot go in any dumpster is on our process page: what cannot go in the can.

Match the Can and the Clock to the Job
Two sizes, flat rates, and delivery and haul-off inside every number. Here is how the usual Pasadena jobs line up:
- Fence run, one bathroom, or a garage clear? Take the 14-yard. A single day is $379.99, the Saturday-to-Sunday weekend special is $399.99, and three days is $419.99.
- Work that will sprawl across a couple of weekends? The 14-yard for a full week, $549.99.
- Flooring through the whole house, a gutted kitchen, or a roof plus a fence? Move to the 20-yard: $499.99 for a day, $549.99 for three, $649.99 for seven. No weekend rate on this one.
One more day costs $50 when the can is free, so text us before pickup day, and if the job might drift, book the longer term from the start. How the rental works is spelled out on our process page.
Fourteen or Twenty on a Pasadena Driveway
The 20-yard is not longer or wider than the 14-yard. It is the same 14 feet by about 7 feet with sides that stand about 6 feet tall, so it carries more without asking your driveway for more room. If you keep planning a second dump run, step up to the twenty. The 14-yard vs 20-yard comparison has every price and what fits in each.

What Pasadena Heavy Trash Will and Will Not Take
Pasadena households are served by more than one provider, and the two the city's pages cover for bulk pickup are city crews and Frontier Waste Solutions. Each has its own schedule. City Sanitation at 713-475-7884 can tell you which is yours.
For households on city crews, the heavy trash page puts pickup on Wednesdays. If your garbage days are Monday and Thursday, small piles go in the first and third weeks of the month, and if they are Tuesday and Friday, in the second and fourth. A pile too big for a standard garbage truck should be out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your week, and crews collect those through the week.
On Frontier streets, bulk and brush pickup comes every other week on an assigned week, set out before 7 a.m. Frontier takes small furniture, mattresses, rugs, TVs, and fence material. It does not take tires, electronics, appliances, household hazardous waste, or debris from commercial contractors and service providers. Appliances and tires go through city Sanitation by phone.
Read that list as a guide to when a can pays off. Curbside bulk is built for the odd couch, not a gutted room, and a remodel, a contractor's tear-out, or a whole fence line is more than either service is set up to collect.
Deed Restrictions and the Clock
Pasadena does not have one rulebook for every block. If your street has deed restrictions, the city's planning page describes them as instruments that run with the land. City staff are not authorized to interpret them, and the city does not keep copies. The Harris County Clerk does. Find yours before the can arrives, because a letter about a container in public view lands on you, not on us.
Then tell us your window. If a restriction rules out any container at all, our crew loads straight onto the trailer and drives away in the same visit, so nothing sits out overnight. That is junk removal in Pasadena.
Can or Crew?
Rent the can if you are the one who will do the loading, on your own evenings and weekends, from a shed you are taking down board by board or a bathroom you are gutting after work. Call the crew if the clock or your back is the problem: a tenant's leftovers with the next tenant arriving, or a parent's house and a closing date. Our Pasadena junk removal crew does the carrying and leaves the same visit, with a free quote first. Still undecided? This comparison lays out the tradeoffs.
Where We Set Cans in Pasadena
Our drop zone covers 77502, 77503, 77504, 77505, and 77506. The Pearland yard sits roughly 10 to 13 miles off as the crow flies, closest to the Fairmont Parkway side and farthest toward City Hall. Every rental means two trips, so a haul that short keeps the math easy.
Does your address say Houston 77034 but sit beside Pasadena, like the city's own drop-off site? Text 832-425-7749 with the address and we will say whether we reach it.
Pasadena Dumpster Questions
How much does a dumpster rental cost in Pasadena?
Fourteen-yard cans start at $379.99 for a single day, with the weekend special at $399.99, three days at $419.99, and a full week at $549.99. The 20-yard runs $499.99, $549.99, and $649.99 for one, three, and seven days, and it has no weekend rate. Bringing the can to Pasadena and hauling it off are in those numbers, nothing is billed by weight, and we are fully insured. An extra day is $50 when the can is free. Text or call 832-425-7749.
Can I use the city drop-off on Old Genoa-Red Bluff Road instead of renting a can?
For a small job, maybe. As of October 2026, the city's page says residents get one free load a month of up to 2 cubic yards, with a Texas driver's license, an original Pasadena water bill, and a tarp over the load. Past 2 yards the city's minimum charge starts at $140.00. A 14-yard can holds seven times that volume, so a fence run or a bathroom gut usually points to a roll-off.
Can I put a dumpster in the street in front of my Pasadena house?
Pasadena's public garbage and heavy trash pages say nothing about parking a roll-off in the street or on the right-of-way, and we will not make up a rule. Our cans go on driveways. If yours cannot take one, phone City Hall at 713-477-1511 before you book and pass along what you hear, and the drop gets planned around it.
Will Pasadena's heavy trash pickup take my remodel debris?
It depends on who picks up on your street. City crews run heavy trash on Wednesdays, and Frontier does bulk and brush every other week. Frontier takes small furniture, mattresses, rugs, TVs, and fence material, but not tires, electronics, appliances, hazardous waste, or debris from commercial contractors. Curbside pickup is built for the odd couch, not a gutted room. Call city Sanitation at 713-475-7884 to confirm which service you have.
Which size do I need for a fence replacement or a bathroom remodel?
A single bathroom or a fence run is a typical 14-yard job, and the 3-day rental at $419.99 gives you a couple of evenings to work. Move up to the 20-yard when the project is bigger than one room, like flooring through a whole house. It has the same footprint with sides about 6 feet tall, so it takes no more driveway. Call first if you are loading concrete, brick, or dirt.
My street has deed restrictions. How long can a can sit in my driveway?
Your restrictions set that limit, not us. The city's planning page says deed restrictions run with the land, that city staff are not authorized to interpret them, and that the Harris County Clerk holds the copies. Pull yours, then give us your window. A weekend special ($399.99) leaves by Sunday night, and a one-day rental ($379.99) leaves even sooner.
